PFOX Update

Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX) exhibited at the Values Voter conference in September, a New Jersey conference in October, and the New England Conference on Multicultural Education in October. The New England Multicultural Conference attracted over 600 educators to the exhibits. Many visited our booth and took our anti-bullying, same-sex attractions, and civil rights brochures. They had never heard of the ex-gay community, and for the few that had, their knowledge was based on stereotyping which we were able to dispel. The educators took our information back to their schools.

PFOX was well received at all three conferences. We are now gearing up for exhibiting at next year’s conferences. Do you have a conference you would like PFOX to attend? Would you like to staff a PFOX exhibit booth? Can you offer PFOX a gift to pay conference fees?

Thanks to the many PFOX supporters who sent us good wishes in our continuing lawsuit against the Washington DC Office of Human Rights, which ruled that ex-gays are not entitled to anti-discrimination protection under DC’s sexual orientation laws. PFOX is appealing that decision. The reaction from gay activists ranged from outright disbelief to the point of calling us liars, to making obscenity-laced phone calls agreeing with the DC Office of Human Rights because “ex-gays should be discriminated against." Evidently, these gay leaders want superior rights and not equal rights. This is why sexual orientation laws and hate crime laws are so dangerous to heterosexuals – they grant superior rights to homosexuals over heterosexuals.

It’s December, which means that every charity is asking you for a donation. Well, PFOX is different from other charities. Yes, we would like an end-of-the year gift from you, but unlike other charities, PFOX does not pay any staff salaries. PFOX is run by dedicated volunteers and supported only by individuals like you. No one else does the kind of work we do, and we couldn’t do it if it weren’t for you. Thanks for educating teachers at conferences and correcting unjust laws. Any gift of any amount is appreciated.
