Founded in 1998, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX) is a non-profit organization providing outreach, education, and public awareness in support of families and the ex-gay community. PFOX supports families in loving their homosexual children unconditionally. Other groups that claim to help families insist that parents love their children only on the condition that parents endorse the child's homosexual lifestyle. PFOX believes that parents should love their homosexual children unconditionally and without any stipulations.

PFOX also advocates for the rights of the ex-gay community. Former homosexuals are subject to an increasingly hostile environment where they are reviled simply because they dare to exist. Many schools, churches, community leaders, and local governments would have no idea of the impact of sexual orientation issues on ex-gays if it were not for PFOX. Because of PFOX, the public is beginning to realize that ex-gays must be included in the formation of public policy because we have much to contribute to the understanding of sexual orientation.

PFOX can help you and your family with support groups in your area, ex-gay speakers, referrals, events, advocacy efforts, educational literature, scientific brochures, email alerts, school resources, national and local exhibits, billboards, videos and books. PFOX also provides an online email support group for those who prefer dialogue with other PFOX parents and friends on an anonymous basis.
